Our Submission to the Labour Party

Have a look at our join submission to the Labour Party National Policy Forum (NPF).

The NPF is the Labour Party’s democratic policy-making process. Anybody can make a submission to it during their (nearly) annual consultation phase. The resulting report then gets voted on at the Annual Conference and contributes to the Labour Party’s policy platform.

Submitting under the theme of “Kickstart Economic Growth”, we outline

  • the cost of inaction by not regulating responsible business conduct on human rights and the environment,
  • how the Make Work Pay plan needs to address exploitative market power across supply chains,
  • our proposal for a Business, Human Rights and Environment Act (BHREA), and
  • the implications of BHREA for the economy, women and marginalised groups, and devolved administrations
