The Corporate Justice Coalition (CJC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eleanor Rosenbach as its new Director, effective from May 7th, 2024.
In her role as Director, Eleanor will lead the CJC in its mission to create a world where corporate impunity for abuses of human rights and environmental harm is a thing of the past – and where this impunity is replaced by rules and regulations that ensure corporate accountability and access to justice for victims.
“We are thrilled to welcome Eleanor as the new Director of the Corporate Justice Coalition,” said Elaine Gilligan, Chair of the CJC Board. “Her passion for justice and career dedicated to change makes her the ideal leader to advance our mission to protect rights and end corporate abuse.”
Joining the CJC from the Right to Education Initiative, she brings considerable communications and advocacy experience along with specialist knowledge of human rights. In the past she has worked with NGOs in the UK and Latin America, including the International Organization for Migration, Médicine Sans Frontières, and the Centre for Justice and International Law. She has advanced training and research experience in migration, labour, and public policy.
Eleanor said: “I am delighted to be joining CJC, and to be leading it into the next phase of its development. The organisation has continually achieved impressive impact, and I am honoured to continue its legacy. In this era of perma-crisis, rising inequality, and growing corporate power, collaborative efforts are our most powerful means of achieving justice and accountability.
I am looking forward to working with the Board, my colleagues, and dedicated partners from across civil society to ensure corporations are held accountable for violating human rights and environmental standards.”
Eleanor was appointed after an open and competitive selection process. Her expertise will be instrumental in guiding the coalition’s strategic direction and fostering collaboration with partners.
